1000 GUINEAS 1825
The 12th winner of the 1000 Guineas, held on Thursday 21st April 1825 over the Ditch Mile, was Tontine (No SP; Walked Over), a chestnut filly by Election out of Pope Joan, owned by the 4th Duke of Grafton. She was the only runner to contest the race which was worth 800 Guineas (Equivalent to £84,800 in 2017)
