The 100th winner of the 1000 Guineas, held on Friday 2nd May 1913 over the Rowley Mile, was Jest (9/1), a chestnut filly by Sundridge out of Absurdity, owned by Mr Jack Barnato Joel. The winner won by a head in 1 minute 40.8 secs, with half a length back to the third. A field of 22 runners contested the race which was worth £5,050 (Equivalent to £530,200 in 2017)
