THE FINAL
Grey Raca was deemed to hold a favourites chance from trap 3, but it was Davesland who led from the traps and had built up a good lead by the first bend. He ran on strongly throughout and easily prevailed by 2 lengths from the favourite, Grey Raca. It was left to Wild Woolley, contesting his third, and last, final to run on to gain third spot a further length behind.

The racecard shows heats 1 & 2 of the first round of the 1934 Laurels. The first heat was won by Jeff's Fashion when beating Trinidad by 5 Lengths in 28.66. Wild Woolley had won the Derby in 1932 and the Laurels & Gold collar Grateful thanks to Tony Nash for the scan and information. |

Semi Finals: In the first semi final Kerryhill Boy beat My Mistake by 6 lengths in 30.32. In the second semi final Buzzing Dick beat April Dandy by 1/2 a length in 30.28. In the third semi final Seldom at Home beat Frisco Hobo by 4 lengths in 30.75.
Final: When the traps opened the second favourite Kerryhill Boy led and bumped the evens favourite Buzzing Dick. This let Frisco Hobo through and he ran on strongly to win by a length from the fast finishing favourite.
