The 142nd winner of the 2000 Guineas, held on Wednesday 26th April 1950 over the Rowley Mile, was Palestine (4/1), a grey colt by Fair Trial out of Una, owned by HH Aga Khan III. The winner won by a short head in 1 minute 36.80 secs, with 5 lengths back to the third. A field of 19 runners contested the race which was worth £12,430 (Equivalent to £404,100 in 2017)
