This site is not an official website for the track shown here and is neither approved or endorsed by the stadium. I am indebted to Richard English for the scans of badges on this page.

The greyhound track in the university city of Cambridge was situated near Cambridge City football ground at 0° 7' E 52° 12' N and held its inaugural meeting on 6th October 1968. Some 37 years before this date greyhound racing had taken place in Cambridge at two separate venues, one in Cowper Lane and the other in Coldham Lane. The Cambridge City track operated as an independent track until November 1978 and then raced under NGRC rules until 1983.

I am grateful to Jon Seddon for the following link to a map showing the whereabouts of the old track

This section gives a comprehensive picture of the badges produced by the track throughout the ages, but only provides the briefest of glimpses of its history. For those wishing to undertake further research we can recommend a visit to where further reading can be undertaken.
