CANTERBURY GREYHOUND STADIUM

The greyhound track in the Kent city of Canterbury was situated in the Kingsmead area of the city with reference 1° 5' E 51° 17' N.The track opened on 28th August 1987 and operated under NGRC rules for 11 years. Greyhound racing replaced speedway. A number of very successful years meetings were held at the track, and many dogs from the track enjoyed Open race successes.

However, the Council-owned track closed its doors on 13th October 1999, and some 2 years later the football club ceased being.
