Situated on the picturesque Normandy coast the Hippodrome de Clairefontaine held its inaugural meeting in 1928. The course has a circumference of 2000 metres and a run-in of 400 metres.
   The course has two principal races, both Listed and both run in August. The Prix Loth Enchntee is run over 1800 metres for 4 year olds and upwards. The Grand Prix de Clairefontaine is run over 2400 metres for 3 year olds. In 2013 Au Revoir beat Prince Khurram and Alta Lilea. In 2012 Aigue Marine beat Prince Chen and Pink Anabella.
