This was run on Thursday 3rd June 1802 and the winner was bred by the 3rd Duke of Grafton and trained by Robert Robson. There were 9 runners from an initial list of 30 subscribers, the winner won easily to claim first prize of £1,024 16s, (The equivalent of £94,900 in today's terms based on Bank of England inflation calculator). The winner was a bay horse by Pot-8-Os out of Sea Fowl.
