This was run on Thursday 28th May 1818 and the winner was bred by Mr Thomas Thornhill and trained by W.Chifney. There were 16 runners from an initial entry of 56. The winner won by 3/4 length to claim a first prize of £1,890, (The equivalent of £154,000 in today's terms based on Bank of England inflation calculator).
