This was run on Thursday 27th May 1819 and there were 16 runners from an initial entry of 54. The winner won by a head to claim a first prize of £1,837 10s, the equivalent of £1,300,000 today. The winner was bred by the 4th Duke of Portland and trained by Richard Prince.
