This was run on Wednesday 26th May 1909 and the winner was trained by R.Marsh at Newmarket. There were 15 runners from an initial entry of 299. The winner won by a short Head with 1/2 length between second and third. The winners time was 2 mins 42.4 secs. The winner won a first prize of £6,450, the equivalent of £2,150,000 today.
