This was run on Wednesday 27th May 1925 and the winner was bred by Mr James Maher and trained by Fred Darling at Beckhampton. There were 27 runners from an initial entry of 325. The winner won by 8 lengths with 2 lengths between second and third. The winners time was 2 mins 40.6 secs. The winner won a first prize of £11,095, (The equivalent of £641,200 in today's terms based on Bank of England inflation calculator). |
