This was run on Wednesday 3rd June 1931 and the winner was bred by the 1st Baron Dewar and trained by Fred Darling at Beckhampton. There were 25 runners from an initial entry of 404. The Winner won by 3/4 length with 3/4 length between second and third. The winners time was 2 mins 36.6 secs. The winner won a first prize of £12,161 5s, (The equivalent of £787,500 in today's terms based on Bank of England inflation calculator). |
