This was run on Wednesday 2nd June 1937 and the winner was bred by Mr William Sears and trained by Fred S.Butters at Kingsclere. There were 21 runners from an initial entry of 315. The winner won by 1 1/2 lengths with 1 1/2 lengths between second and third. The winners time was 2 mins 37.6 secs. The winner won a first prize of £8,441 5s, (The equivalent of £546,600 in today's terms based on Bank of England inflation calculator). |
