This was run on Wednesday 3rd June 1964 and the winner was bred by Dr Frank Smurfitt and trained by Mick Rogers. There were 17 runners and the winning time was 2 mins 41.98 secs. The winner won by a length with 2 lengths between 2nd and third. The winner won a first prize of £72,067, (The equivalent of £1,388,400 in today's terms based on Bank of England inflation calculator).
