This was run on Saturday 10th June 2000 and the winner was bred by HH Aga Khan IV and trained by John Oxx. There were 15 runners and the winner won by a length in 2 mins 36.75 secs, with 5 lengths between second and third. The winner was owned by HH Aga Khan and claimed a first prize of £609,000, (The equivalent of £974,500 in today's terms based on Bank of England inflation calculator). The second was owned by Hamdan Al Maktoum and the third by Khalid Abdulla.
