This was run on Saturday 4th June 2005 and the winner was bred by the Deerfield Farm and trained by Michael Bell. There were 13 runners and the winner won by 5 lengths in a time of 2 mins 35.69 secs, with 3 lengths between second and third. The winner was owned by The Royal Ascot Racing Club and claimed a first prize of £725,000, (The equivalent of £1,029,200 in today's terms based on Bank of England inflation calculator). The second was owned by Michael Tabor and the third by Godolphin.
