This was run on Saturday 4th June 2022, was part of the Platinum Jubilee celebration and dedicated to Lester Piggott who had died 5 days earlier. It was a fine, dry day with good going. The winner, Desert Crown, a bay colt by Nathaniel out of Desert Berry, was owned by Saeed Suhail and trained by Sir Michael Stoute landing his 6th Derby winner. There were 17 runners, and the winner won by 2 1/2 lengths, with a head between second and third. |
