The race took place on Saturday 5th April 2014 when a full field of 40 ran. The winner won by 5 lengths at 25/1, with a length and quarter between second and third. The winner was trained by a doctor for the first time, Dr Richard Newland. It was an amazingly clean race with 18 finishers and no fatalities. The winning time was 9 minutes 9.9 secs.
