|HASTINGS GREYHOUND STADIUM

|The historically important Kent town of Hastings once boasted a greyhound track, built around the perimeter of the local football stadium, which was situated on Elphinstone Road at 0° 35' E 50° 52' N and held its inaugural meeting in 1948. As indicated elsewhere on this site, the track was also used for speedway.|
|It ran as an independent flapping track and operated successfully for 18 years before closing in 1966.|
