The Nebraska racetrack of Horseman’s Park first opened its gates on 3rd January 1998, and is situated in Omaha. Racing is administered by the Nebraska Horsemans Benevolent Association who first mooted the idea of building a racetrack when the state lost Ak-Sar-Ben in 1996. The track, which is a 5 furlong oval track, did not hold its first live thoroughbred meeting until July 1998.

It continues to be one of the best equipped simulcast tracks in the USA with the ability to seat upwards of 3000 punters.
