The Matamata racecourse is situated in Matamata in the Waikato region of the North Island.

 Both the Racing Club of Matamata and the South Waikato Racing Club hold their meets at the racecourse.
One of its feature races is the Group 2 Robin, Duke fof Bedford Matamata Breeders Stakes for 2 year old fillies held each February. In its latest running on 21st February 2009 Te Akau Rose was successful when ridden by Troy Harris.
The Matamata Cup is run each October and in the latest renewal on 11th October 2008 Agamemnon was victorious when ridden by Cory Parish. Matamata P1.JPG (72659 bytes)
