RIVERTON RACECOURSE
There is evidence to show that racing took place at Riverton as early as 1861 and today the Riverton Race Club hosts 3 meetings a year at the racecourse. The course can be located in the Southland region, South-West of Invercargill, on the South Island.
	The principal race is the Great Western Steeplechase held each April.
