This site is not an official website for the track shown here and is neither approved or endorsed by the stadium. I am indebted to Richard English for helping to construct this page.

The small Scottish town of Shotts almost marks the half way point between Glasgow and Edinburgh, and has had 2 greyhound tracks in the past. The second one to open was located at Dykehead at the Shotts Stadium and situated at 3° 48' W 55° 49' N. When the Gasworks Park Stadium closed on 11th March 1939 it was less than a week before the new track opened on 17th March 1939. Racing continued at this popular venue until 1962.

This section gives a comprehensive picture of the badges produced by the track throughout the ages, but only provides the briefest of glimpses of its history. For those wishing to undertake further research we can recommend a visit to where further reading can be undertaken.
