This site is not an official website for the track shown here and is neither approved or endorsed by the stadium. I am indebted to Richard English for helping to construct this page.

The independent flapping track at Skewen was situated on Winifred Road at 3° 50' W 51° 39' N, just north of the second city of Swansea. The track first opened for racing in the early 1930s and had a circumference of 530 yards. It ran sprints over 312 yards, standard races over 530 yards and distance races over 760 yards.

It closed its gates for the final time in 1986 and the site on which it once stood is now covered by a housing estate called The Meadows.

This section gives a comprehensive picture of the badges produced by the track throughout the ages, but only provides the briefest of glimpses of its history. For those wishing to undertake further research we can recommend a visit to where further reading can be undertaken.
