The 151st winner of the St Leger, held on Wednesday 8th September 1926 over 1 mile 6 furlongs and 132 yards of Town Moor, was Coronach, a chestnut colt by Hurry On out of Wet Kiss, owned by the 1st Baron Woolavington. A field of 12 runners contested the race which was worth £6,500. (Equivalent to £362,700 in 2017)
