The Tauranga Racecourse is located on the North Island and its principal race is the Listed Platinum Homes Tauranga Stakes which is held each November.
  A feature race at the track is the Rotorua Plate, sponsored by First Sovereign Truse. The 2008 renewal took place on 18th October and Ginga Dude prevailed when ridden by James McDonald.

 

  
The Club hosted the Japan New Zealand International Trophy in 2008 woth the event taking place on 22nd March. Ginga Dude was triumphant when ridden by Mark Sweeney.
  The AmcorLRK Trays Kiwifruit Cup is also held at the racecourse and is a popular event in June. On 21st June 2008 Kiri was victorious when ridden by Mark Sweeney.
