WANGANUI RACECOURSE
The Racecourse is located at Wanganui on the North Island. Records show that the Wanganui Jockey Club first held races in 1848 with the initial meeting being held in December of that year.
	It now holds 8 meetings annually as well as trotting races run by Wanganui Trotting Club.
As well as the Wanganui Jockey Club, the Egmont-Wanganui Hunt Club meets at the racecourse.
Its principal meeting is the Wanganui Guineas held each September. On the same day it hosts the Wanganui Fillies Stakes. The famous New Zealand horse Kiwi won a race at the track very early in its career.
