This site is not an official website for the track shown here and is neither approved or endorsed by the stadium. I am indebted to Richard English for helping to construct this page.

The Nottinghamshire town of Worksop is in the Bassetlaw district of the county and lies on the River Ryton at the northern edge of Sherwood Forest. In early 1939 it had a greyhound stadium situated at 1° 8' W 53° 19' N on Gateford Road. The track proved to be very popular and operated twice a week, offering sprint races over 325 yards and standard races over 500 yards. The stadium operated as an independently run track for 30 years before closing its gates for the final time on 18th April 1969.

This section gives a comprehensive picture of the badges produced by the track throughout the ages, but only provides the briefest of glimpses of its history. For those wishing to undertake further research we can recommend a visit to where further reading can be undertaken.
