DROUIN RACECOURSE
The Drouin Racecourse is to the South East of Melbourne at Matthew Bennett Park on the Princes Highway in Drouin, Victoria. It is believed that racing first took place around 1885 but records cannot confirm this.
Racing ceased for some time in the early 1900's but was revived after the end of World War II.

In 1974 a further crisis hit the course when the Racing Club ran out of money and caused the October meeting to be cancelled. The course looked doomed to fold until the Drouin West Sawmill sponsored the Boxing Day meeting in 1974 and the club survived.
The principal race is the Drouins Cup which, in 2008, was won by Blackbook ridden by Adam Bodey.
