GREAT LAKES DOWNS RACECOURSE  
The racecourse of Great Lakes Downs was situated at Muskegon in Michigan State. It regularly held racing for 8 years between April and October. Its first meeting was on 23rd April 1999 replacing Detroit Race Course.

 

  In January 2000 the course was purchased by Magna International Corporation.

 

 
The principal races held at the course in its short history were the Plymouth Stakes and the Muskegon Classic.

 

  The racecourse closed on 6th November 2007 with the final winner being Give Me A Little trained by Shane Spiess and ridden by T. Molina.
