SAPPORO RACECOURSE  
Sapporo racecourse is situated in the city of Sapporo on the northern island of Hokkaido and boasts just 2 main meetings annually. It was opened for the first time in 1907 and has both turf track and dirt circuit. It has a Group 2 race, the Sapporo Kinen, and 4 Group 3 races.
  The Kinen is run in August each year over 2000 metres.  
Also in August the track hosts the Keeneland Cup over 1200 metres, whilst the Queen Stakes is run over 1800 metres.
  In September the course holds the Elm Stakes ( 1700 metres ) on its dirt surface, and the Nisai Staakes (1800 metres ) for 2 year olds on its turf track.
