YARRA GLEN RACECOURSE
The Yarra Glen racecourse is a provincial track situated in the state of Victoria only 32 miles North East of Melbourne.
	It is known that racing has taken place in the area since 1880 both with flat racing and hunting. Indeed, even today the Yarra Glen and Lilydate Hunt Club holds point to point meetings.
Throughout the 1970's and 80's the racing club had as its secretary a member of the Lithgow family.
	It was in 1972 that Yarra Glen benefitted from the move to the course by the Healesville Trotting Club and the course grew in stature. It can now boast all weather meetings.
