The race took place on Saturday 6th April 2013 when a full field of 40 ran. The winner won by 9 lengths at 66/1, with a neck between second and third. The winner was trained by a lady, Mrs Sue Smith, only the third lady to train the winner, ably supported by legendary show-jumping husband Harvey Smith. It was an amazingly clean race with 17 finishers and no fatalities.
