The race took place on Saturday 10th April 2021 when a field of 40 ran in good going. The winner won by 6 1/2 lengths,, with 1 3/4 lengths between second and third. The winner and second were trained by the Irish trainer Henry De Bromhead and owned by John P McManus. The winning time was 9 minutes 15.42 secs and there were 15 finishers.History in the making, with the winner ridden for the first time by a lady jockey, the fantastcially talented Rachael Blackmore. |

He trained Rubio and Mattie Macgregor to first and second place in the 1908 Grand Nationl. He trained at Danebury Stables managed by Fred Worthington, but nevertheless it was W Costello who held the trainer's licence and trained the two horses.
